Milton, GA Maternity Milk Bath

Maternity Milk Bath How to:

You will need a tub with a window near it, but the rest can be easily purchased!

Your session will take place when your bathroom is brightest. Depending on the time of day, your other images will be take before or after the milk bath.

Step 1: Figure out your milk bath color scheme.

Wether you base your session on a particular dress, flower or color pallet… know what you want.

2. Buy the milk powder bag

Some parents choose to use organic coconut powder or canned coconut milk. That’s totally an option too, but you will need extra.

3. Buy your flowers

Any store is fine. Trader Joe’s, Publix, Walmart. But Costco has the largest selection and best price. Real flowers are best and don’t forget greenery.

4. Pick a dress

I have some dresses you can borrow, such as the ones shown here (all three). I also have the lace dress in wine red.

5. Have undergarments that match or wear a dress that keeps you covered.

6. Don’t forget your before/after outfits and photos.

Depending on your hair, location and session, we usually do “normal” images before or after the milk bath. If after, we are mindful not to get your hair wet. I have the dress pictured in green and navy blue.

7. Consider changing up your hair and makeup for more variety.

This mom chose to keep her maternity boudoir images private, but it’s an easy addition to your shoot.
